Bharti Airtel has reported that it will launch Apple’s iPhone 3GS in India on 26 March, 2010. The device was launched in the US, back in June, 2009.
Apple claimed that the iPhone 3GS has improved speed and performance, upto twice as fast as iPhone 3G, its earlier version. The company has added ‘S’ for speed.
The iPhone 3GS smartphone has longer battery life, a high-quality 3 megapixel autofocus camera, easy-to-use video recording and hands-free voice control. Airtel has priced the device according to its memory space.
Apple’s iPhone 3GS 16GB is priced at Rs 35,500, while iPhone 3GS 32GB is priced at Rs 41,500. The Indian telecom vendor offers 500 MB of free data every month for a year with the price. However, the iPhone 3G with 8GB version is also available along with new smartphone for Rs 29,500.
Interested customers can buy iPhone 3GS from Airtel authorized retail stores across India from March 26.
